'To see these works of a particular period brought together for the first time has been a significant experience for me and I sincerely hope for the viewers, too.

Three paintings in the exhibition are repainted versions of works that were damaged beyond repair some time ago by flood. These works were originally painted in London in 1963/64, before “The Field” exhibition that shocked the Australian Art World. They were a particular geometric design which I was able to repaint.

I am pleased to revisit these works in the exhibition after 60 years and seeing them stand up to the test of time.' Ron Robertson-Swann, February, 2024.
